Stopping the Jail?

As the original fervor dies down, it remains to be seen if the community will band together and be successful.
There are a couple of useful links on the web, and additional information will be forthcoming.....
The site established to organize the efforts is : stopthejail.org
Make you wishes known. Some useful links are provided by the City of Independence, and the Kenton County Jail Commission.
Some comments for anonymous sources seem to shed some light on the subject as well. Check out the comment from 1/01/07!

Battle for Lukid 2

Back in September, there was a battle for Lukid in Israel. Now Sharon is leaving the party to form a more "centrist" party. Once again, watch for Netanyahu. With the tensions rising about Iran, and the whole Middle East for that matter; the Israeli people will revert to the person they think will protect them with the most veracity. I do in some ways admire Nentanyahu. He speaks his mind and does not mince words. He has the cahonies to do what is required to protect his country. But that in the end may just ramp up the inevitable. The confrontation between Muslims and the Jewish people will escalate into war. The matter is not if but when.

History Lesson
- 1918-19, "Spanish flu," [A (H1N1)], caused the highest number of known influenza deaths: more than 500,000 people died in the United States, and up to 50 million people may have died worldwide. Many people died within the first few days after infection, and others died of complications later. Nearly half of those who died were young, healthy adults. Influenza A (H1N1) viruses still circulate today after being introduced again into the human population in the 1970s.
- 1957-58, "Asian flu," [A (H2N2)], caused about 70,000 deaths in the United States. First identified in China in late February 1957, the Asian flu spread to the United States by June 1957.
- 1968-69, " Hong Kong flu," [A (H3N2)], caused about 34,000 deaths in the United States. This virus was first detected in Hong Kong in early 1968 and spread to the United States later that year. Influenza A (H3N2) viruses still circulate today.

On line pharmacies are selling anti flu medications... Is it wise to purchase some insurance just in case?... Example Here.

$500 Steak?

Did you know that some people pay BIG bucks for a good steak? Wow… I did not know that! In a past life I was a waiter in a high end restaurant…. I know that beef quality can vary greatly… And when I have additional discretionary money to spend I love to get a couple of nice filets from a meat shop. (nice cuts of meat are not in any grocery store).
But I had not heard of
It turns out that the demand is getting so great that the growers in
Allen Brothers is a website I found.

Battle for Lukid
It sometimes seems as now a group of boys are all crying wolf. The End of Times folks always seem to state the NOW is the time. But now comes and goes. Now becomes then and a new NOW finally becomes the time. Still we do know the time will come; and Middle East politics can be much more interesting than our own because of the stakes involved.
If Nentanyahu again takes control of the process, he may see a narrow window of opportunity to advance the cause of his country before the political pendulum of the United States swings back to the more liberal Democratic party?

Be On Guard
Above is a quote about the possible Flu Pandemic that may sweep the globe. This is VERY possible. A new flu strain starts in Asia every year, it sweeps the Globe EVERY year. Basically one of the days the strain will be very deadly.... like 1918-1919. 50 Million people died. The flu is a virus....we still cannot stop viruses.
Article is HERE.

Pioneers over Rebels!
The Post/Enquirer has 8 pictures.... all of players from the loosing team! I think the photographer is either a Boone Co. Alum or thought he knew the outcome of the game before it was played.
